For many years Carmelo Greco has been enchanting gourmands in Frankfurt-Rödelheim with his Italian cuisine. Therefor, since 1996, he has been holding a Michelin Star on a regular basis, 17 points in Gault Millau and numerous other awards. The native Sicilian, who grew up in the region of Piedmont, was named for example by the magazine BUNTE as one of the five best Italian Restaurants in Germany. Carmelo Greco’s cooking style was particularly influenced by his former apprentice’s mentor, Lidia Vanzino Alciati, the recently deceased 80 years old grande dame of Piedmont’s cuisine.
